Experience genuine Cuba!
SALSA FILARMÓNICA
concert
Conductor: Alan Bjelinski
Soloists: legende kubanske glazbe Jacqueline Castellanos
(Kuba) i Ricardo Luque (Venezuela)
Zagreb’s
Philharmonic Orchestra and legendary Latino musicians will take us on an
exciting journey through Cuban music starting with Buena Vista over to
younger generations. The concert will be a combination of irresistible
salsa rhythms and classical music. At the moment, such projects where
professional Latino musicians perform Latino music standards in peculiar
arrangements with symphony orchestras are very popular in the world. The
concept originator of this idea in Croatia is Ricardo Luque, a front man
of Croatia’s most popular
Latino
band, Cubismo and a member of the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra. Ricardo
Luque is a musician of Venezuelan roots whose peculiar vocal has become
the first symbol of Croatia’s Latino music. Apart from him, the star of
the concert will be
Jackeline Castellanos, one Cuba’s best singers who is quite rightfully
considered as the successor of the legendary Celia Cruz.
