 After
a very successful last summer’s concert, the first to feature the Opera
choir of Croatian National Theatre Ivan pl. Zajc, the choir shall
reprise its concert appearance. This year in the Church of Our Lady of
Trsat, under the conductorship of maestro Igor Vlajnić, the choir will
perform famous sacral choir works that continue to amaze with its
beauty.
Works of
Pero Gotovac, Sergei Rachmaninoff and Stevan Mokranjac, carrying within
them a deep spiritual dimension, originate
from
traditional cultural
 musical
heritage. At the same time, they have become a part of music history
containing some of the most beautiful pages of choir music literature.
For
instance, Misa Delmata by Pero Gotovac was created based on ethnic
sources of Dalmatian music, following numerous parameters of original
vocal group practise.
